Lecturers/teaching staff

The Oxford Learning Institute offers programmes, short seminars and resources tailored to support teaching staff at Oxford.

Our development programmes are accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA), enabling successful participants to apply for the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academic at the appropriate level.

Development programmes

Our three teaching development programmes suit different levels of experience. Each supports participants' learning over a term or more, yet is flexible enough to fit in with other commitments. Each programme has an assessment scheme leading to HEA recognition.

Resources

Our web resources cover a variety of topics, often with background information about Oxford's learning context, recommendations, stimulating learning and teaching ideas, advice on teaching problems, materials to use with students, ideas for classroom exercises and so forth.

Course list: by topic

For those not requiring an extended programme, we also offer scheduled short workshops on a number of topics of interest. They usually take from a couple of hours to a half-day.

Bespoke workshops

Organise a group of six or more interested in the same topic and we will create a workshop on the teaching and learning topic you wish to tackle, at a time and place to suit you.
