Description

This seminar enables individuals to take steps towards establishing a professional identity at work and to practise the skills needed to manage emotions positively. Participants are invited to work encouragingly and supportively together so that everyone can contribute and get the most from attending. In order to ensure full and open participation in the course it is preferable not to attend on the same dates as someone with whom you work closely. This seminar is also part of the Managing yourself programme.

Format: face-face
Intended for support staff, first line managers and those who supervise staff.

Learning objectives/outcomes
By the end of this half day it is intended that participants will have:

  • Increased awareness about how they might ‘read’ their emotions
  • Practical techniques and approaches for handling and working with their emotions
